ManageBac For Sage Parents
ManageBac enables efficient curriculum planning, assessment and reporting, while eliminating paperwork and enhancing communication to Parents and 6-12 Students.
Sage International School appreciates all that you do as IB Parents. Staying on top of assignments, events and assessments is the responsibility of an IB Student, however you can support your child by doing the following:
- Ask your child specific questions about their day and studies at school.
- Challenge them to “stretch it” and give you detailed answers rather than simple responses.
- Encourage your child to sign into their own ManageBac account on a regular basis to view upcoming events, tasks and gauge their own progress.
- Remind your Student to Reassess when any earned grade is below a 3.
- Sign in to your Parent ManageBac account frequently (at least once per week) to check the Calendar, Progress Tab and Messages.
- Be Open-Minded and patient with the 0-8 MYP grading system/1-7 DP grading system on ManageBac (remember final course grades are reported on Skyward using a 1-7 scale for both MYP, DP, & CP).
- Remember that all of us learn along a continuum and a score of 7/8 is not always the end-all, be-all goal.
