Our School

Sage International Schools began with a simple idea – parents and children needed a different option than the education they could find at other area schools. These parents wanted an international education, a rigorous learning environment, authentic teachers and a school that embraced innovation and change.

The Sage International School of Boise opened in 2010 with 211 students. By 2014, there were nearly 900 in Grades K-11. Today our Boise campus routinely enrolls 1000 students in four different International Baccalaureate (IB) programs in Kindergarten through 12th grades. Sage-Boise is one of only three public schools in the United States that offers all four IB programs.

In 2019, the Sage International Network of Schools opened a second campus in Middleton, Idaho. Middleton is a lovely and lively community that is in the rapidly growing area of the western Treasure Valley of Idaho. The Sage Middleton campus has enrolled 400+ students in Grades K-10 and is still growing. It is authorized to offer the IB’s Primary Years Programme (K-5) and is a Candidate School* for the Middle Years Programme (6-10). These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Sage International Middleton believes is important for our students.

*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP), or the Career-related Programme (CP).  Candidate status gives no guarantee that authorization will be granted. For further information about the IB and its programmes, visit www.ibo.org

We are Public Charter Schools

Sage International Schools are public charter schools, meaning they are tuition-free schools of choice. We are K-12 (or growing to K-12) public schools. Inquiry-based learning creates caring and curious students who ask questions and are equipped to solve big problems. Your child can start here in Kindergarten and graduate high school from our Sage Network.

“Public charter schools are unique public schools that are allowed the freedom to be innovative while being held accountable for advancing student achievement…”

Our Mission

Our schools’ mission encourages us to ask questions; to be inclusive; to form a community of learners and to engage with our world – both locally and globally. We believe in our schools’ mission and we think the best possible way to encourage the broadest numbers of people to make a difference locally and globally is through an International education.
