Idaho’s Charter School Lottery Process

As a Public Charter School, Sage International uses a lottery process for enrollment to fill available seats. In instances where the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings, students are placed on a waitlist by grade level.

Our 2024-25 lottery will be held on March 7th, 2024 with our lottery application posted here on our website on January 2nd.

Idaho’s Charter School Lottery Process: The Idaho Legislature established the lottery process for charter school admission through Idaho Code Statute 33-5206. As a brief overview, all applicants are placed into grade-level-specific ‘Lottery Priority Groups’ as follows and are drawn in order based on these groupings:

First Priority: Children of full-time Sage International employees, and children of Sage International School Middleton Founders (formerly Forge International, provided that this admission preference shall be limited to not more than 10% of the initial capacity of Sage International School Middleton).

Second Priority: Siblings of students already selected by the lottery.

Third Priority: Students enrolled the previous school year at Rolling Hills Public Charter School and entering 9th grade, and students enrolled the previous school year at Future Public School and entering 7th grade.

Fourth Priority: Applicants that reside within our boundary area*.

Fifth Priority: Applicants that reside outside our boundary area*.

You can find our boundaries HERE

Non-Discrimination: Sage International School of Middleton does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, and national or ethnic origin in its educational and admissions policies and affords to all students the rights, privileges, programs and activities made available at the school.
